Sophia Travis Playscape

The Monroe County Parks and Recreation Foundation has supported this accessible playscape since it’s installation in 2009. With additional support from the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, four new pieces of equipment were installed at the Sophia Travis Playscape in the spring of 2021. Designed for integration, accessibility, and inclusion, the new features consist of a We-Go-Round, Stationary Cycler, Geoplex Climbing Panel, and an Oodle swing. In addition to the new equipment, the playground surface was replaced with SMARTE Playground Safety Surface System.
