Monroe County Parks & Recreation Foundation
Through the community’s generosity, the Monroe County Parks and Recreation Foundation is able to support park improvements, recreation programs, special events, and youth scholarships.
About Us
In support of Monroe County Parks and Recreation, and through the generosity of the community, the Monroe County Parks Foundation strives to support quality parks, recreation and educational programs, promoting an appreciation of environmental and cultural resources, and preserving green space. The Monroe County Parks and Recreation Foundation remains committed to making facilities and services available to anyone, regardless of resident status, ability to pay, or physical/mental ability.
Since its establishment in 2002, the Monroe County Parks Foundation has supported playground improvement projects, land acquisition initiatives, greenway amenity enhancements, program scholarships, and special events.

Our Values
We believe that parks and recreation opportunities are essential to the vitality and well-being of our community. Our foundation works closely with the Monroe County Parks and Recreation Department to identify and fund projects that improve and expand the Monroe County park system.
